CLEVELAND, OH - JULY 20: A group tries to burn an American Flag as police move in near the sight of the Republican National Convention (RNC) in downtown Cleveland on the third day of the convention on July 20, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio. Many people have stayed away from downtown due to road closures and the fear of violence. An estimated 50,000 people are expected in Cleveland, including hundreds of protesters and members of the media. The four-day Republican National Convention kicked off on July 18. There’s nothing more ironic than a group of flag-burning communists needing to be rescued by the police. Yesterday, July 20th, Police monitoring the RNC protests arrested 17 individuals tied to a flag-burning fight that broke out within the crowd. The group burning the flag was the Revolutionary Community Party. While it is legal to burn the flag, officers chose to rush in once they noticed that a few of the protestors had caught fire. As you might imagine, Police selflessly running into a group of protestors led to some confusion and ultimately resulted in a small fight breaking out

According to CBS New York:

‘Moments after the flag was set on fire, officers charged in to put it out with an extinguishing spray that some in the crowd thought was pepper spray because of similarities in the design of the canisters and the eye irritation caused by the fire-suppression substance.

“You’re on fire! You’re on fire, stupid!” a Cleveland officer shouted at a protester while firing the extinguishing spray.

These RNC protests have only been increasing in insanity over the past few days. Yesterday there were reports of urine being thrown by protestors at other protestors. These protests are starting to look like something out of The Warriors
