Former WBO welterweight champion and Olympic boxer Jessie Vargas is hearing things about Conor McGregor’s training sessions and it’s not looking good for the UFC champion.
In an interview with Villainfy Media, Vargas claims McGregor got knocked out during a sparring session in preparation for his Aug. 26 bout with Mayweather.
He got knocked out cold. We hearing stories.
The boxing world is small, it’s a small circle, you hear these things.
Vargas went on to say that he feels that McGregor has a one percent chance of beating Mayweather in a boxing ring.
I just got tired of it, but I’m looking forward to seeing Floyd get the victory by knockout. Conor is going to get knocked out. Floyd always lives up to the hype, I have no doubt about that, Floyd will get the victory. I actually wanna put some money on it, you know, Conor has like 1% chance of winning.
If what Vargas is hearing is true then maybe the athletic commission should look into whether McGregor is capable enough of defending himself in the boxing ring against an experienced fighter like Mayweather.
